It might be a little confusing at first comming from a traditional pillow. There are multiple sides to this pillow with different advantages for different styles of sleep determining which side works best for your style of sleep. I also found that even though one side of the pillow was for my side sleeping, I still found it more comfortable on the opposite side because it had a lower knock support for my specific body style and comfort. It is a nice mix of firm and soft to support and gently cradle your neck and head. The biggest difference for me was needing to sleep with the pillow much closer to my shoulder/knock region than I was used to. "I’m a side sleeper, but after an injury needed to sleep on my back for a while to relieve pressure on my neck, and this helped so much.
